Growing a tiny human and planning a wedding? That’s some superhero-level multitasking. If the thought of a big wedding while pregnant makes you want to scream into a pillow, then eloping might just be the perfect solution. Eloping while pregnant means skipping the stress, focusing on what matters (hint: you and your partner), and actually enjoying the day instead of worrying about seating charts and unsolicited belly rubs.
But how do you make sure your elopement is comfortable, fun, and totally you while also navigating pregnancy cravings, exhaustion, and the fact that you now have a built-in wedding guest? Don’t worry—I got you. Here’s everything you need to know to plan the ultimate, stress-free, and epic pregnant elopement.
Let’s be real—weddings are a lot, even when you’re not growing a whole-ass human inside of you. The planning, the expectations, the stress of making sure Aunt Karen doesn’t start drama at the reception—it’s exhausting. Now, add in pregnancy symptoms like nausea, back pain, and the overwhelming urge to nap 24/7, and suddenly, the thought of an intimate, no-stress elopement starts looking really good.
✅ Less Stress, More Love – No big wedding drama, no people-pleasing, just the two of you (and your little plus-one) soaking up the moment.
✅ Comfort is Key – You can plan a day that actually feels good—whether that means a short-and-sweet ceremony or a cozy, barefoot vow exchange on the beach.
✅ It’s More Affordable – Save that money for the baby, a honeymoon, or a really nice stroller (because have you seen the prices on those things??).
✅ Your Timeline, Your Way – No need to wait until after the baby arrives; you can say “I do” now and celebrate however you want.
Pregnancy changes everything, and that includes how you plan your wedding day. Here’s how to make sure your elopement is stress-free and actually enjoyable:
If you’re dealing with morning sickness, maybe don’t plan a sunrise ceremony. If you hit an energy slump by 3 PM, go for a morning or evening elopement instead. Listen to your body—it’s literally building a whole human.
This isn’t the time to hike 5 miles up a mountain in your wedding attire. Opt for scenic but accessible locations—think beautiful overlooks, quiet beaches, or cozy cabin vibes.
Your energy levels may shift throughout the day, so build in time to sit, snack, and hydrate (or, you know, take a power nap if needed).
Pack alllll the snacks—your baby and your blood sugar will thank you. Have a mix of protein, fruit, and whatever weird craving you’ve got going on that week.
Not all elopement spots are created equal—some are hella romantic and pregnancy-friendly. Here are a few top picks:

When it comes to elopement outfits, comfort is everything. Here’s what to consider:
👗 Flowy Dresses are Your Best Friend – Think empire waistlines, stretchy fabrics, and anything that lets your belly breathe.
👡 Ditch the Heels – Go for cute flats, sandals, or even barefoot vibes.
🧥 Layer Up – Hormones can make you feel both hot and cold at the same time, so bring options.
Eloping doesn’t have to mean excluding everyone—unless you want it to. Here are some ways to involve loved ones:

Let's do this thing
I literally have no words. Natalie is so amazing and talented, and not to mention how kind she is. She has outdone herself! My pregnancy has actually been pretty hard, so it actually brings me to tears to have such beautiful photos to remember it with. I am so so grateful for these beautiful keepsakes.

Natalie and her husband are amazing! My hubby does not enjoy taking photos. Natalie was able to make us feel at ease and have fun with our session. She went above and beyond! I was expecting the typical sit here, pose this way, smile, click. NOPE! She asked us intimate questions about our lives. She played music that we love. She created an atmosphere and a mood that made our anniversary photos an experience. We are so thankful for the memories she helped us to create. Also her unique artistry in how she photographed us. I’m in love with the results. Thank you Natalie and Nate 💖
