When I say this winter elopement near Boise, Idaho was everything—I mean it. We had snow. We had cake. We had a very good dog. Oh, and the couple? Just casually 36 weeks pregnant and absolutely glowing. These two knew exactly what they wanted: a low-key, love-filled day with their closest people, their pup, and a whole lot of celebrating.

If you’re dreaming of a winter elopement that feels like stepping into a nostalgic, love-soaked memory, you’re in the right place. (And hey, if this post gets you inspired, reach out here so we can start planning your day!)

This winter elopement near Boise, Idaho had snow, cake, a dog, and a baby bump! A cozy, heartfelt day full of love and adventure.

Our first stop? A stunning spot nestled in the pine trees, right on the river. It was intimate, peaceful, and had that perfect crisp winter air that makes you want to bundle up with a hot drink (or, you know, say “I do”). Nate officiated the ceremony—fun fact, the bride is actually from the same tiny town he grew up in. While they didn’t know each other back then, they totally knew each other’s families. Small world, right?

Instead of sharing personal vows, they opted to exchange rings and have Nate deliver a heartfelt ceremony speech. They even had a special guest of honor as the ring bearer. After they officially tied the knot, it was time for cake! They shared a slice with their friends and family, and—because they have their priorities straight—their dog even got a little taste.

Once their guests headed out, we packed up and drove to our second location to find some snow. And find snow, we did. These two fully embraced the winter vibes—snowball fight included. The bride, an absolute legend, rocked a gorgeous wedding dress that perfectly showed off her pregnancy bump, hiking boots (with hand warmers tucked into her socks, because she’s a genius), and a flower crown with moody winter florals. She kept warm with a blanket-turned-shawl, because fashion and function, folks. Meanwhile, the groom ditched the traditional suit and opted for a petticoat that gave serious historical romance vibes.

We spent the rest of the day exploring, dancing in the snow, and making sure their pup had the best day ever. Afterward, they headed back to Boise for a cozy dinner with their friends and family to keep the celebration going all day long. Because why limit the party when you can make it last?

A Cozy Winter Elopement Near Boise, Idaho

Let's do this thing

I literally have no words. Natalie is so amazing and talented, and not to mention how kind she is. She has outdone herself! My pregnancy has actually been pretty hard, so it actually brings me to tears to have such beautiful photos to remember it with. I am so so grateful for these beautiful keepsakes.

Natalie and her husband are amazing! My hubby does not enjoy taking photos. Natalie was able to make us feel at ease and have fun with our session. She went above and beyond! I was expecting the typical sit here, pose this way, smile, click. NOPE! She asked us intimate questions about our lives. She played music that we love. She created an atmosphere and a mood that made our anniversary photos an experience. We are so thankful for the memories she helped us to create. Also her unique artistry in how she photographed us. I’m in love with the results. Thank you Natalie and Nate 💖
