Idaho Elopement Photographer

✨ Elopements for the rule-breakers, magic-makers, and beautifully awkward lovebirds ✨

You’ve never followed the script—why start now? As your Idaho elopement photographer, I’m here to help you create a day that’s anything but traditional, everything you, and captured in a way that feels like flipping through a memory every time you see it.

Why Elope in Idaho?

Eloping in Idaho means you’re trading crowded ballrooms for wild skies, mountain magic, and quiet moments that are actually about you. Whether you're outdoorsy or just love a scenic backdrop, this place has everything: epic views, hidden gems, and easy-to-get-to spots that don’t require hiking boots (unless you want to wear ‘em).

Some Idaho location inspo:

The Sawtooths – Classic alpine drama with shimmering lakes

Bruneau Sand Dunes – Moody desert elopement, no plane ticket needed

Owyhee Canyonlands – Remote, raw, red rocks meets high desert

McCall or Cascade – Cozy cabins, forest feels, and chill vibes

Sun Valley – Sophisticated meets serene

City of Rocks – Wild, rugged, and totally cinematic

Private Airbnb or family land – Because your venue doesn’t need a sign out front

Idaho Capitol Building/Courthouse – A classic, intimate, and historic spot to say “I do” if you’re into something simple and elegant

planning an Idaho elopement

This isn’t just a photoshoot. It’s your wedding day. And every second should feel like it matters. When you book me, you’re not just getting someone with a camera—you’re getting a planning partner, timeline guide, officiant, Super 8 filmmaker, and someone who believes your day should feel as authentic as your relationship.

You don’t have to hike 12 miles for an epic elopement. There are accessible spots all over Idaho that offer privacy, beauty, and no blisters.

🧡 Activities you can include:

Soaking in natural hot springs

Renting a boat on a mountain lake

Bonfire with pizza + Polaroids

Hiking, stargazing, paddleboarding, bar-hopping, museum-ing

Or just vibing in a cabin with your favorite records playing

Romanticizing Your Day

✨ Let’s make your Idaho elopement feel like a dream you never want to wake up from ✨

Here’s how we build your day together:

🔍 Idaho elopement Locations:

Mountains, desert, forest, lakes—yes please.

Want a sunrise vow exchange on a cliff? Cool.

Prefer a backyard with your favorite humans and a taco truck? Also cool.

💬 Elopement Ceremony types:

Just the two of you with me + your dog as witness

A small group of chosen family under the pines

A private vow reading followed by a legal ceremony later

Want my husband Nate to officiate and sprinkle in some Dudeist wisdom? Done.

Come As You Are, I’ve Got You

I’m not gonna make you do awkward prom photos or laugh at a fake joke like you’re auditioning for a toothpaste commercial. I’m here to help you feel like the most you version of yourself—awkward, cool, in love, whatever that looks like.

My approach is all about building trust so you can actually enjoy being in front of the camera. I’ll guide you just enough to feel confident, but not so much that you feel staged. This is your real life, not a performance.

I pay attention to the little stuff—the way your fingers fidget when you're nervous, the quiet glances, the inside jokes. Those in-between moments? They’re gold. And to make it all feel seamless, I send every couple a fully custom planning guide built around your day, your priorities, and your version of “best day ever.”

Nate = Officiant + Super 8 Filmmaker

My husband Nate is part of the team—aka your built-in officiant and Super 8 videographer. He’s licensed (ULC + Dudeist Priest), and whether you want a full-on heartfelt ceremony or just someone to legally seal the deal, he’s got you.

He also films on vintage Super 8, capturing your day with that dreamy, nostalgic magic that makes everything feel like a memory already. And yep—it’s all included in every elopement package. Because you're not just getting photos—you're getting the whole feeling.

Your Idaho Elopement Guide & Photographer

📸 Hey, I’m Natalie. Your elopement photographer, planning bestie, and professional hype human.

Why Work With us?

🚫 We're Not for the traditional types—and that's the whole point.

I’m for the couples who:

Want to celebrate their love without a script

Don’t vibe with traditional wedding expectations

Would rather create memories than perform for a crowd

Want to feel deeply seen, wildly comfortable, and truly themselves

Don't fit into a box and feel out of place in the wedding industry

I’m not here to force a formula on your wedding. I’m here to help you create a day that feels like your favorite version of your life together—with none of the fluff and all of the emotion.

More Than Photos—This Is Your Story

You’re not looking for someone to just show up with a camera. You’re looking for someone who gets it—who sees the beauty in the unconventional, the messy, the deeply personal. That’s where I come in.

I specialize in elopements that feel like you. Whether you're exchanging vows on a windswept cliff, saying “I do” under a canopy of pine trees, or tying the knot at the Idaho Capitol courthouse with your ride-or-dies cheering you on—I'll help you plan a day that’s more about intention than tradition.

This isn’t a cookie-cutter experience. I’ll help you design a timeline that flows naturally, guide you toward locations that fit your vibe, and create space where you can actually breathe and be yourselves. I'm here to gently direct when you need it, hype you up when you forget how cool you are, and remind you to slow down and soak it all in.

Every Idaho elopement package is all-inclusive, which means you're not juggling a bunch of vendors or worrying about the extras. Super 8 video? Included. Officiant? Got you. Personalized planning support? Always. I’m not just your photographer—I’m your creative co-conspirator, logistics guru, and calming presence in the chaos.

How to Get Your Marriage License in Idaho: A No-BS Guide

Let's do this thing

If I could married every year, Natalie would be there each year. She made me feel so welcomed and made sure she asked the right questions. All my special moments were captured because she knew exactly where to be. I have no need to reach out to another photographer for anything. She is my go-to!

My husband and I had a wonderful and fun/entertaining experience with Natalie and Nate. We brought our dog to join us for photos and stamp his paw on our marriage certificate for our elopement. My experience was whimsical, adventurous, fun, tasty, a little boozy, and just overall beautiful. Natalie is truly one of a kind with the art she creates and will make all your dreams come true. Thank you for a special experience I will never forget 🧡

Do we have to hike?

You don’t have to summit a mountain to have an epic elopement. Some of my fave Idaho spots are easy-access but still stunning—like alpine lakes, desert cliffs, courthouse steps, or cozy cabin vibes. Your day should reflect you, not some expectation of what an elopement “should” look like.

Idaho Elopement FAQ's

Your burning questions (and maybe a few you didn’t know you had)

Can we bring people with us?

Yes! Eloping doesn’t mean you have to be alone (unless that’s the vibe you're going for). Whether it’s just the two of you, a couple witnesses, or your full ride-or-die crew, we’ll make sure everyone fits into the day naturally.

Do we need a permit to elope in Idaho?

Sometimes, yes—especially for state parks, national forests, or certain wilderness areas. I’ll help guide you through what you need (and what you don’t), and I’m happy to help with permit logistics when needed. Think of me as your adventure co-pilot.

When should we reach out to book?

Short answer: ASAP. I book a limited number of elopements each year so I can give each couple my full attention. But if you’re planning something on short notice, still message me! I love spontaneous plans

What does travel look like? Are you only based in Idaho?

I’m based in Boise and serve all of Idaho and the Pacific Northwest—but I travel anywhere for elopements and micro weddings. Whether it’s Stanley, McCall, the Sawtooths, or somewhere totally off-grid, I’ve got a bag packed and playlists queued.

We’re awkward in front of the camera—help?!

Join the club! Most of my couples say the same thing, and then end up saying it was way more fun and natural than they expected. I don’t do stiff posing—I guide you in a way that lets your personality shine through, so you can relax and actually enjoy the moment. You’re allowed to be your weird, wonderful self here.

Ready to do this your way?

You deserve more than just pretty photos—you deserve a day that feels like yours from start to finish. Whether you’re eloping in the heart of the city or deep in the Idaho wilderness, I’m here to help you create something real, intentional, and wildly you.

The kind of day you’ll be talking about for the rest of your lives. The kind you’ll feel in your bones every time you see the photos or rewatch that grainy, perfect Super 8 footage.

Let’s make that happen.

The form’s right below when you’re ready. I’ll take it from there ✨
